چکیده

The one-loop QCD heavy quark potential is computed to order v2 in the color singlet and octet channels. Several errors in the previous literature are corrected. To be consistent with the velocity power counting, the full dependence on |p + p′|/|p′ − p| is kept. The matching conditions for the NRQCD one-loop potential are computed by comparing the QCD calculation with that in the effective theory. The graphs in the effective theory are also compared to terms from the hard, soft, potential, and ultrasoft regimes in the threshold expansion. The issue of off-shell versus on-shell matching and gauge dependence is discussed in detail for the 1/(m|k|) term in the potential. Matching on-shell gives a 1/(m|k|) potential that is gauge independent and does not vanish for QED. Typeset using REVTEX ∗[email protected][email protected] 1

Running of the heavy quark production current and 1 / v potential in

The order 1/v contribution to the heavy quark potential is first generated at one-loop order in QCD. We compute the two-loop anomalous dimension for this potential, and find that the renormalization group running is significant. The next-to-leading log coefficient for the heavy quark production current near threshold is determined. The velocity renormalization group result includes the αs ln (α...

0 Heavy quark potential as it stands in QCD

Following the procedure and motivations developed by Richardson, Buchmüller and Tye, we derive the potential of static quarks consistent with both the three-loop running of QCD coupling constant under the two-loop perturbative matching of V and MS schemes and the confinement regime at long distances. Implications for the heavy quark masses as well as the quarkonium spectra and leptonic widths a...

Hephy-pub 697/98 the Quark-antiquark Wilson Loop Formalism in the Nrqcd Power Counting Scheme

The quark-antiquark interaction from the NRQCD Lagrangian is studied in the Wilson loop formalism. 1. The NRQCD Lagrangian Large radii quarkonia (i.e. excited heavy mesons like b̄b and c̄c) cannot be described in terms of perturbative QCD with the addition of leading nonperturbative effects encoded into local condensates. This happens since in this situation the gluonic correlation length cannot ...

Modeling Magnetic Field in Heavy ion Collisions Using Two Different Nuclear Charge Density Distributions

By studying the properties of matter during heavy-ion collisions, a better understanding of the Quark-Gluon plasma is possible. One of the main areas of this study is the calculation of the magnetic field, particularly how the values of conductivity affects this field and how the field strength changes with proper time. In matching the theoretical calculations with results obtained in lab, two diffe...
